Unless you’ve lived in a sewer you should realize that gas prices are going up. The national average as of June, 16 for regular unleaded was $1.63. But with gas prices on the rise will people be more prone to take the train and subway to work. If more people take the train and subway to work then there will be less cars on the road. If there are less cars on the road less people will need gas. When there is more supply of gas than there is demand for gas the gas prices will go back down. Also, one train causes much less pollution than all the cars that the people would have to drive. In conclusion, if you take the train you will help save the environment as well as not having to pay the outrageous gas prices. Some of the information for this article came from the Chicago Tribune.
